BREAKING NEWS: We won the court case!

A HISTORICAL EVENT FOR SARDINIA AND FOR DOCUMENTARIES

Months ago, thanks to the astute move of the lawyer Gianfranco Sollai, representing the soldiers and residents in Teulada, affected by cancer, our documentary Balentes was put on record in the Teulada trial for the important testimonies within the film and for the extensive research that was carried out.

This was the first time that a film was cited as evidence in a judicial process.

Today, thanks to the film Balentes and to the lawyers Giacomo DoglioRoberto PearaGianfranco Sollai and Caterina Usala, that the Judge, Maria Alessandra Tedde, decreed, in a historic and courageous decision, on the forced indictment of five military officials who were responsible for the military base of Teulada and will move to a second trial for aggravated disaster, risking also imprisonment.

The Judge gave the Prosecutor five months to carry out further investigations in order to verify the causal link between the deaths from cancer and military activities in that military base.

It is a historic result not only for Sardinia, but for the world of cinema, and documentaries in particular, given that it is the first time that a documentary has achieved such a concrete result in the conquest of justice.
